About Mitchell

NewProfilePicSMALL(FYI: If you click on any words that are highlighted/underlined, it’ll take you to sample work of whatever i’m mentioning)

I’m an Australian media student and digital producer currently employed by the Australian Radio Network (ARN) across KIIS, Pure Gold, The Edge and iHeartRadio.

Previously worked as a producer, presenter & editor for Marquee Studios’ youth media property, Amplify. I was also employed on a casual basis by ARN, working as the digital producer for The Thinkergirls at KIIS 1065 Sydney and Jo and Lehmo at Gold 104.3 Melbourne.

Outside of my work and media studies, I produce videos for my own YouTube channel and Facebook page; having cultivated a social following in the wake of a viral video creation in 2015. Ultimately I wish to secure a production role at a commercial hit radio station in a metropolitan market.

I hail from the tiny town of Bogan Gate in rural Australia, but I could not be further from your conventional country bloke. I have an intense dislike of sport and will avoid getting my hands dirty at all costs. I enjoy musical theatre, photography, trashy Australian TV Drama, and often get a little excited upon discovering a new flavour of Chapstick.

“It is very rare to find a diamond in the rough of education and training, but Mitchell Coombs is a Diamond. At the age of 19 he shows the maturity of someone far beyond his years. He is reliable, committed, intelligent and most of all a really nice guy who looks out for his peers. He is able to work individually and as part of a team and is an ideas man who is able to use his Screen and Media skills across multiple broadcast platforms. “Mitchell came into Radio 2SER volunteering for the early shift which runs from 0530 to 0900. Like all volunteers, he’d get out of bed at the crack of dawn with one aim: to improve his radio news skills. I’m delighted to say he’s achieved that ambition. Mitchell has been an enthusiastic and committed student and his researching, writing and presentation have improved tremendously.”
